About Jacob Nelson

I began my Data Analytics journey my final two years at college. Spending most of my time before that on economic and historical studies, I found that presenting data is a challenge that combines a need for the analytical and programmatic skills of economics with the storytelling that defines historical writing. And so began my time learning, adapting, and developing a skillset that utilizes these to create engaging and valuable dashboards for clients and peers alike. Along the way, I've had the opportunity to dip my toes into ETL processes, data storage, and cloud services across the Azure suite. I always strive to learn new skills, become proficient in old ones, and gain expertise in the areas I love the most. Outside of work, you can find me out hiking (especially in and around Cuyahoga Valley National Park), enjoying horror movies, practicing guitar, playing tabletop and video games, cooking a new recipe, or reading a great fantasy novel.
