About Jacob Nyrup

I am a DPhil student in Politics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford, and a PhD Researcher at the project "The Politics of Wealth Inequality and Mobility in the Twenty-First Century"(WEALTHPOL). In general my research interests lie within the field of comparative politics and political economy, where I have a special focus on authoritarian regimes. Furthermore, I have a background as a management consultant and I have worked within the field for 5 years. I have a strong knowledge of the process of gathering data through for example surveys, interviews or observations, handling and analyzing the data in statistical programs such as R and Stata, and presenting the results in an accessible and understandable way. My experience spans from a broad range of projects, both in academia and public sector consulting. Apart from my research, I am also teaching quantitative methods at the Oxford Q-Step Centre.
