About Jacob Padden

Cybersecurity consultant and engineer currently serving as Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) for multiple organizations. I combine a technical engineering background with strategic leadership to help clients address complex security challenges, align with compliance frameworks, and build strong, scalable security programs. My experience spans across security compliance, incident response, forensics, cloud security, risk assessments, vulnerability management, patch remediation, data analytics, software development, and technical troubleshooting. I take a proactive, hands-on approach to cybersecurity and enjoy working directly with clients to deliver solutions that align with their business goals. I'm also experienced in service and software sales, and pride myself on translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable strategies. Earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Cyber Security from Reinhardt University, where I developed the goal-oriented mindset that drives everything I do. Before transitioning full-time into cybersecurity, I was a collegiate athlete and later a coach. I played goalkeeper for Reinhardt University Men’s Lacrosse, where I was a 2x NAIA National Champion (2018 & 2019), a two-time All-American (2018 & 2019), and recorded the highest save percentage (77%) across both the NAIA and NCAA during the 2016 and 2018 seasons.
