About Jacob Petersen

I am a Telecommunications Professional with a predominant background in Outside Plant Construction. I also have experience in the Power industry as a lineman. I have approximately five years of combined industry experience I am knowledgeable in all aspects of Outside Plant construction and make-ready. My leadership experience includes Foreman and Crew Chief, leading and directing the activities of field and site crews, while also offering me hands-on opportunities to keep my skills sharp. My technical experience include Outside Plant Construction of Fiber Optic, Co-axial, and Copper Networks; Make-Ready Construction for aerial and underground systems; and also Powerline Substation work. I am highly knowledgeable in reading Construction Plans with the ability to construct network structures and cable systems. I am an effective communicator, both written and verbally and can deliver technical ideas and information clearly across a range of technical and non-technical stake holders. I have acted as a lead subject matter expert, researching third party infrastructures, both underground and aerial for planning initiatives. My Project Management experience includes managing construction projects in a time sensitive environments with the ability to assess manage the implementation of projects within time and budget constraints. I am driven to deliver ahead of schedule and under budget. I am self-motivated and can work independently as well be an effective team player. I am able to work across a diverse and highly technical organization. I consider myself to be an achieved individual with a professional and technical mindset, having taken on awesome challenges and accumulated many talents and skills within in a short 10-year times-pan. I also possess the much needed computer skills that are necessary to perform administrated activities. I offer a Positive attitude and leadership qualities. I am well organized, dependable and always ready to take on new challenges.
