I started my career with Natures Menu in December 2020 within the Digital Team, primarily working on ecommerce and on platforms such as Amazon and Ebay. This role involved adding to and maintaining online listings, and producing various reports on product performance on these channels. I also assisted with the launch of the new website Nature’s Variety. This experience gave me a great foundation into the business and the products, which transferred really well when I moved over to the Customer Service Team in April 2022. As a Customer Service Advisor, I have dealt with Direct to Consumer and Trade Accounts, query and complaint resolution, assisting with orders and questions on products, including providing feeding advice for pets. During the implementation of SAP in 2022 I was a key user during this time and helped to train other members of the team before the roll out of the new software. With this and other new systems introduced, such as Salesforce, I have been able to adapt and learn quickly and help colleagues as much as I can with any questions. Prior to this I was working for a specialist exporter of various parts and equipment, for over 12 years, progressing from my initial position of Sales Assistant to Sales Manager. Throughout my period with the company I had seen development in both staff and turnover, and I managed a small team of one whilst maintaining responsibility for the Motorsport area of the business. The main focus of my role there was developing and maintaining accounts and contacts with both customers and suppliers, many of which were overseas, therefore it was key to understand the importance of communication and cultural differences. Many of these relationships were strengthened by face to face meetings, regular emails and phone calls, and also visiting trade shows both in the UK and in Europe. Obtaining the best price from a supplier to achieve profit margin whilst keeping the transaction fair for the customer, helped to develop my skills in presentation, communication and negotiation. In my personal time I really enjoy brewing my own beer and to compliment this, I joined the home brew club at the Ampersand Brewery Tap Room, where we share bottles, good and bad brewing stories, offer advice, and also brew on the night together, which has been a great way to gain knowledge but also a lot of fun. I also like listening to a wide variety of music and going to live concerts often, and enjoy the outdoors, staying active, walking and discovering new places. I am really approachable and friendly, and like to help any way I can.
