About Jacob Pinder

My name is Jacob Pinder, a Sophomore Accountancy student at Miami University's Farmer School of Business. My skills come from my school work and projects I have participated in over that few years. Because of these projects, I have perfected my skills in Microsoft, strategic planning, Creative thinking, and teamwork. I was very fortunate to be a Campaign Intern for Congressman Brad Schneider. I canvassed and called voters in different precincts to help them register to vote and ask seniors about their well-being during the pandemic. With that opportunity, we expanded our campaign message and I developed an ability to speak professionally and provide resources as needed to others. This opportunity also led me to an interest in budgeting and campaign finance. I have been fortunate to explore these topics from the lens of someone who was a part of the political field. While at the Farmer School of Business, I participated in the FYIC project in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 school year. Working with my group we designed a plan for a small business in the great Cincinnati area. I mostly dealt with the planning of our idea and researching the financial data necessary for our solution to become a possible reality for this small business.
