About Jacob Records

I'm a Network Engineer with 8 years of experience in the U.S. Army, where I’ve led and maintained secure, high-availability network infrastructures across global environments. From managing tactical communications during overseas deployments to collaborating with international forces during joint exercises, I've built a reputation for reliability, technical expertise, and leadership under pressure. In my current role, I not only manage and optimize network systems but also coordinate daily operations for a company of over 80 personnel—ensuring readiness, compliance, and smooth execution of mission-critical tasks. Whether leading a team of network professionals or aligning interdepartmental efforts, I take pride in creating structure and driving performance. A highlight of my career was Joint Exercise YS-87 in Japan, where I was responsible for a network supporting over 180 users across U.S, Japanese, and Australian forces—highlighting my ability to deliver results in dynamic, multinational settings. I specialize in LAN/WAN systems, satellite and radio communications, cybersecurity compliance, and tools like Cisco, Palo Alto, and ESXi. I also hold an active U.S. Government SECRET clearance and a passion for mentoring others and growing professionally. I'm currently focused on continuing my career as a network engineer in the civilian sector and connecting with professionals who are just as passionate about secure, scalable infrastructure as I am. Let’s connect!
