About Jacob Roberts

I currently am working at Nova Scotia Power as an EIT in their rotation program. My first rotation is in the wind and hydro sector, my second will be in Capitol projects, and my third will be at Tufts Cove generation plant. I have also worked 16 months of mechanical engineering Co-op at various companies. 12 months of those Co-op’s were done at Nova Scotia power, 8 of those months were in the wind and hydro division where I worked on managing capitol projects. I was able to manage several projects on my own, some of which I was able to complete during my work term. This Co-op gave me lots of experience in the hydro sector, taught me all the components of hydro turbines and how they work to produce energy. My second Co-op term was at Bell Mobility where I worked on bringing 5G to Atlantic Canada. This position gave me lots of experience with the cellular network and how it works along with the new 5G technology. All of these positions have gave me excellent communication, organizational, teamwork, and many other project management skills.
