About Jacob Roussos

I am from Australia and have been living in Germany for almost 2 years with my German wife and our 3 children. I enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking and running. I love meeting new people and have a passion for building community. Since moving to Germany I have volunteered in refugee camps in Greece for 2 weeks and been involved in a Bergwaldprojekt project in Gunzesried. I am a native English speaker and have a strong command of the English language. I studied business for 18 months in 2009 before starting a family and joining the NSW Police Force in 2011. I was with the police for 8 years, the last 2 years as a police lawyer. I am a skilled investigator and prosecutor. I have experience directing investigating police and prosecuting complex legal matters. I can critically analyze legal documents and formulate complex legal arguments. I am also skilled at interviewing witnesses and suspects in stressful and intimidating environments. I have strong negotiation skills, required for settling cases outside of the courtroom. I enjoy solving problems and being part of a thriving team. I have an interest in Project Management and Team Leading as it involves bringing teams and individuals together in pursuit of a common purpose.
