As a detail-oriented and results-driven government relations and legal management professional, I have business-to-business expertise in strategy, advocacy, stakeholder relationships and policy implementation. I have a proven history of managing stakeholder relationships and successfully leading legal and governmental relations, advocacy, policy, legislative and regulatory teams for global clients in emerging markets. Business leaders recognize my talents as reliable, strategic, and innovative. My international project management leadership skills in Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, and the Eastern Africa region. In addition to my current role as Director of Policy and Advocacy at CJC, I serve on Boards as a member at The Harbour, Hope College, and The Alliance High School Endowment Fund. I am a Presidential Circle member and Emerging Leader Fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and a Visiting Fellow at Strathmore Law School in Nairobi, Kenya. My background is in Economics and Political Science, International Commerce and Policy and Information Technology and Privacy Law from Hope College, Valparaiso University, and The University of Chicago School of Law. Besides consulting and teaching, I enjoy riding gravel and endurance bikes and running a small sustainable beef cattle ranch in Western Kenya.
