Learned about various ecosystem conditions and their management strategies, implemented field skills like plug planting, tree and weed removal. • Restoration Ecology Class, UC Davis, taught by Professor Sarah Gaffney (4/13/2018-6/14/2018) o Designed and executed an experiment with a team to assess the biodiversity present in the South Fork Putah Creek, which gave an idea of baseline conditions at the site (animal/insect species richness and abundance) o Monitored once a week for the duration of the class • Assisted Professor Astrid Volder with Walnut Tree Root Experiment, UC Davis (07/2017 – 09/2017) o Collected soil cores from walnut tree orchards o Sifted through cores and collected walnut tree roots to provide evidence to farmers that overwatering has negative effects on root survival
