About Jacob Schoen

I am a passionate student of life and enthusiastic coach devoted to the betterment of my athletes mentally, emotionally, and physically. I have been interested in the science and practice of improving athletic performance since 6th grade. This curiosity has led me to explore many avenues and achieve certifications in a variety of fields from manual therapy to Olympic weightlifting. Although I have founded and maintained a successful Personal training and Performance company in New Orleans since 2017, my real passion has become clear over the past year: to teach,mentor, and learn from student athletes. For me, sports are a medium through which we learn in the trenches about ourselves and others. The hands on instruction and support of this process of growth and connection is what gives meaning to my coaching and motivates me to continually listen, learn, and evolve. I take great pride in my open-mindedness, attention to detail, empathetic outlook, adventurous nature, and ability to communicate effectively. I am seeking a position as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Track and Field Coach.
