About Jacob Snyder

After graduating from a United States university, I chose to move to China to further my Chinese (Mandarin) skills and learn more about the Chinese culture. I have passed HSK Level 3 (currently studying for HSK Level 4). My personal and professional perspectives have both been impacted greatly because of the Chinese culture and its focus on family, belonging, and tradition. My ability to speak Mandarin, my understanding of Chinese culture, and my own global perspective make me an ideal candidate for this position. While in China, I have been an English teacher for all ages, responsible for classroom management, oftentimes without a native speaker in the classroom. The skills I gained to be effective in the classroom environment are the same skills needed to be successful in the position for which I am applying—creating and maintaining a customer-friendly environment, being a reliable, positive leader, demonstrating strong communication skills, and determining the ways to meet the unique needs of each of my clients to ensure their success. While, I am still a foreigner here, I'm open to the idea of relocating to another city/country/etc.
