About Jacob Strauss

Jacob (Jake) Strauss is a Partner and executive search consultant at StraussGroup, now approaching his seventh year with the firm. He leads searches for mid-to-senior-level roles across the building materials and manufacturing sectors and also supports internal operations as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing technology, training, and continuous learning for the team. Jake also plays a key role in supporting StraussGroup’s Financial and Professional Services practice areas. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University, where he studied Business and Communications. Jake began his career at Qualtrics in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was a top performer in the company’s market research and sales division, supporting both national and global clients.(Qualtrics, the world’s leading survey software provider, was acquired by SAP and serves a majority of Fortune 100 companies.) A Buffalo native, Jake returned to Western New York to join the family business and contribute to the local community. He was named a Buffalo Business First 30 Under 30 honoree and is actively involved in civic initiatives, currently serving on the foundation board of the Buffalo Zoo and the Future of Roswell Society, in addition to volunteering with other local nonprofits. Outside of work, Jake enjoys tennis, golf, and staying active in the community. At Penn State, he was a major contributor to THON, the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, which raises over $11 million annually for pediatric cancer patients and their families.
