About Jacob Tuchinsky

I have a passion for medical research. My experience working for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), Stony Brook Medical School and Binghamton University’s Freshmen Research Immersion Program provided me the opportunity to research the effects of different drugs on Prostate Cancer and Parkinson’s Disease. At MSKCC, I was in charge of multiple clinical trials. This allowed me to focus on patient and user experience by using qualitative and quantitative research, as well as develop professional relationships with medical and scientific experts. I also acted as a liaison between various stakeholders, including doctors, patients, and sponsors. My studies at Stony Brook Medical School included performing surgical procedures, which included neurosurgery, on rats and studying the respiratory effects. In addition, I studied the cognitive and behavioral effects of different medications on rats with Parkinson’s Disease. I was acknowledged in a Binghamton University research paper and am one of the lead authors on two published abstracts from Stony Brook Medical School. Throughout these experiences, I have become proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and other relevant software.
