About Jacob Wells

I currently teach AP United States History and AP Psychology at Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, PA. I am an advocate of student centered learning, and incorporate such practices into my classroom whenever possible. In AP United States History, I work hard to make my students effective writers in history, focusing on efficient communication based in critical thinking and analysis of primary and secondary source material. In AP Psychology, students learn about critical research and theories in the field as well as how to judge experiments based on the APA's ethical standards. Student work involves presentations, projects, and discussions regarding psychoanalysis, behaviorism, gestalt psychology, humanistic psychology, learning and educational psychology, as well as qualitative and quantitative research methods. Beyond the classroom, I am also the head cross country, winter track, and spring track and field coach. I am developing competitive programs that are attractive to elite and new athletes alike!
