About Jacob Williams

With a strong background as an ML Engineer in research and industry, a passion for hands-on prototyping, and expertise with NLP, Recommender Systems, and Healthcare Analytics, I'm an ideal fit for any company aiming to stay ahead in this new age of Artificial Intelligence. I graduated with Highest Honors and a B.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I focused on the intersection of AI and Theoretical CS. I've worked at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center, developing NLP tools for COVID-19 abstracts. I've led machine learning initiatives for 'Aware Home' research groups, creating pipelines between AWS and PyTorch. During my senior year, I spearheaded the development of a cross-media recommendation platform, breaking down text descriptions into vector representations for novel suggestions. Leading an exploratory study this past summer, I analyzed sensitive data from thousands of community college students using PyTorch and Pandas to gauge sentiment and levels of support.
