About Jacob Wright

The way you do anything is the way you do everything" This quote, shared by one of my coaches, defines the way I do everything in my life - the way I work, the way I compete, the way I lead. As a recent graduate of the Rotman Commerce Accounting Specialist Program and a captain of the Varsity Blues Football team, I have faced dozens of challenges. Balancing a 40-hour football schedule with a full academic workload, all while navigating injuries and a global pandemic, required more than just showing up - it demanded consistency, discipline and resilience This has fuelled some of my proudest achievements, such as being the first offensive lineman in 57 years to win the Johnny Copp Memorial Trophy, participating in the CFL Draft process, and earning the highest annual GPA in my final year. Alongside these experiences, I’ve built specialized skills in audit procedures, economics, financial analysis, and taxation—skills I’ve applied in real-world settings through my work with the public and private sectors in internal audit and financial operations.
