Background
About Jacorius Liner
Jacorius Liner, Founder/CEO of J. Line Enterprise, and native of Rosedale, MS attended Mississippi University for Women (MUW) on a full academic scholarship. Jacorius graduated magna cum laude with a baccalaureate in Political Science and a minor in Finance in May of 2012. Shortly afterward, Jacorius earned his Masters of Public Policy and Political Science, with a concentration in Finance from Mississippi State University. While there, he was awarded the 2014 Graduate Student of the Year. During his first year at MUW, a spark was ignited which resulted in Liner’s involvement in an abundance of campus organizations. Serving in multiple roles in various student organizations really solidified Liner’s footing as a person committed to community service and influenced his career path after a summer long internship with Mississippi Department of Transportation, out of the office of the Northern Transportation Commissioner. After graduating from MUW, Liner started out as a researcher with the Stennis Institute Government where an opportunity presented itself to delve heavily into abstract governmental research. Liner was given the chance to design programs such as the Mayor’s Institute – where mayors from all over the state would come together to address one big issue going in their community where experts would solve this. From this particular program, Jacorius met Mayor John Cox, who inquired about grant consultation. This is where he took his first step into grant writing and administration by initially making sure the City of Greenville was in grant compliance. It was his ability to get results for the city that allowed his business to grow with contracts spanning Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi. Jacorius also worked on a Kellogg foundation grant entitled Systems Change, where systems were engaged that perpetuated negative outcomes for young men of color. From this, a restorative justice program was instituted in the Sunflower County School District which completely abolished the antiquated discipline code. This project primed Liner for his future endeavors with the state of Mississippi and fanned the flames that ignited his passion to create results-driven programs that bring about sustainable change in communities. Expertise: Organizational Development, Program Evaluation, Grant Making, Public Speaking, Strategic Planning, Theory-of-Change Leader, and Abstract Research
