About Jacqueline Blazer
I grew up in Germany, studied and worked in Italy and the Netherlands. During school and University I always had a job in the gastronomy. My passions lie in the food world. I worked in all kinds of restaurants in Germany, Holland and Italy (service, kitchen and planning). For six years I've been working at the retailer Marqt in the Netherlands. My activities varied from actievities in the shops to supporting the office. The last two years I've been working as a buyer and category manager. The studies of 'Human Ecology and Sustainability' for me meant combining my Anthropological studies with my passion of food and its distribution in the world. I believe that in order to understand the food business well, you have to know both sides, the operation and the systems behind. This means also having a healthy relationship with the products you are working with (food) and knowing its whole history.
