About Jacqueline Dailey

While pursuing a bachelor's degree in Veterinary Biomedical science at the Pennsylvania State University, I became completely captivated by an epidemiology of infectious disease course. The subject fascinated me so much that I pursued a Master's degree in Public Health. Through my graduate education, I further expanded my knowledge of infectious diseases, particularly those that are vector-borne working with both Lyme disease and Zika. Through increased exposure in the field of public health, I found myself learning about so many different health issues. Epidemics that were not spread through disease or designed by nature but through addiction and where man-made. I have learned just how important prevention and education is throughout all of Public Health, in infectious disease, chronic, and substance addiction. I have learned that no matter if it is an issue that threatens lives in the shape of tick or mosquito or in the form of a bottle or pills I want to do whatever is in my power to help educate and prevent its spread. Over the past 4-5 years, I have developed my skills in statistical analysis, community outreach and education and worked with varying levels and sizes of organizations from small nonprofits to large state institutions. My ultimate goal is to continue to grow and contribute my skills and knowledge to research and prevention efforts to help shape a healthier future for all.
