I worked for 28+ years for West Midlands Police in a number of roles, starting as a legal secretary and ending my time there as an emergency call handler. I have recently changed careers completely and now work for the Royal British Legion as an Independent Living Coordinator providing support to beneficiaries who utilitise the Legion’s Handy Van Service. I would consider myself to be a loyal and conscientious individual with almost 25 years experience in a customer service role. I am computer literate, having utilised numerous IT systems on a day to day basis as an essential part of my role. I also find it easy to learn new systems when and where necessary. I am used to working in an extremely high pressured environment where decision making and team work are a crucial element of the job, as is the need for compassion, understanding and problem solving skills. Similarly working with minimum supervision is also required at times. I always strive to work to the very best of my ability to deliver the highest possible level of customer service at all times.
