About Jacqueline Vu

Mrs. Jacqueline Vu is physicist, specialized in pharmaceutical engineering. She has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and especially in the field of automated plants for production of Oral Solid Dosage forms (OSD). After 3 years of Research and Development (R&D) activities in biotechnology at the Brussels University, she joined pharmaceutical industry (Unda S.A.) where she was involved in Research and Development (R&D) and Quality Control (QC) in the biotechnology field (Yeast fermentation optimization) for 5 years. After obtaining her additional degree in 1992, she was working for more than 30 years in the international pharmaceutical engineering, where she gained an unique experience working for more than 10 years with Professor Lhoest, in the field of automated plants with gravity flow for production of OSD. She was mainly involved in international projects (Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, South Korea, USA, India, China, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand ) in the field of feasibility study, production rationalization, batch size optimization, conceptual design, detailed design, selection of material handling equipment, assistance to construction and validation activities. She has extensive OSD project experience in particular in automated OSD plants and high potent OSD products (OEB4/OEB5).
