About Jacquelyn Ackerson

Why nursing? Because I am in love. I love nursing because it allows me to pursue two of my deepest passions: Serving others and science. I get to have meaningful interactions with patients in my care and develop clinical expertise. I have an entry level knowledge and experience of many nursing areas including medical-surgical, telemetry, mental health, pediatrics, L&D, ED, ICU, public health and school nursing. I have earned a bachelors degree in biology (GPA 3.5) and nursing (GPA 3.77). While in school for my nursing degree, I served as Vice President of the student body. I helped plan many projects on campus which included blood drives, blanket drives, and canned food drives. I also served as a student nurse volunteer at Sutter Roseville from August 2018 to April 2019. I am very enthusiastic to be starting a career in the nursing profession.
