About Jacquelyn Line

When I made the decision to continue my education in 2018 after spending several years in the workforce, it was not an easy one. Making this adjustment stemmed from a series of unexpected circumstances including surviving domestic violence. While I have been criticized for admitting this openly, I believe discussing it with candor is an important part of shedding light on what remains an unfortunately pervasive issue in our society. Throughout my recent coursework, I have spent a considerable amount of time researching and analyzing many of the serious disparities that exist in our nation’s healthcare, education and legal systems. While it is obvious there are countless highly dedicated, knowledgeable individuals working within these fields, there remains much work to be done to improve the quality, access and delivery of our health resources- from both the patient’s AND the provider’s perspectives. My education compliments the extensive experience I have working in high-volume, fast-paced environments. Additionally, with 5 years of experience supervising and training employees, I often received positive feedback from the staff I was responsible for. They frequently complimented my patience and ability to explain complicated material in a manner that was easy to understand. Many of these employees later went on to higher positions within the companies we worked for. As a manager, I have a proven record of establishing positive relationships with my employees by finding ways for individuals to maximize use of their skills and talents, and by ensuring they have received the recognition they deserve. These methods lead to tangible improvements in productivity. I believe these capabilities make me well-suited for a position in higher education, healthcare, government or legal environments, or with any company that has the potential to make a direct, positive impact on the lives of others.
