Background
About Jacques van Rensburg
With over 15 years of experience in environmental sciences, I bring passion and expertise in environmental management, conservation, and GIS. I hold a Master of Science in Botany and have had the privilege of working on one of the largest privately funded restoration projects in the biodiverse Cape Floristic Region. This experience inspired me to found an environmental consultancy, providing services such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), biodiversity specialist studies, and biodiversity offset studies. My career has been marked by a commitment to sustainable practices and biodiversity conservation. At the World Wide Fund for Nature, I focused on promoting sustainable farming practices that enhance ecosystem services. Currently, I lead the carbon delivery team at AIC, where we drive initiatives that balance environmental stewardship with economic growth through carbon farming. I am dedicated to leveraging my expertise to foster sustainable solutions and contribute to a greener future.
