About Jacy Tapp

My formal training includes an undergraduate and Master’s degree in Public Administration with a health concentration. I have also completed two fellowship/certification programs that have greatly enhanced my understanding of the complex issues involved with health care policies and the provision of health care. In addition, I worked for a community health center for five years where I established a credentialing program and led the start-up of two expansion satellite sites. I was heavily involved with the implementation of the Center’s electronic health record system and quality centered health home based care. I was hired in January, 2012 at Cerner and have been working on a team of consultants with the implementation of meaningful use requirements created with the HITECH Act. This has been a challenging and exciting position, placing me at the forefront of regulatory reform while assisting a variety of clients across the nation to manage their meaningful use programs as well as strategize around the current regulatory landscape. My experience with the community health center was focused on serving an indigent, underserved population with respect to primary health care. The Cerner client population is a private, hospital based focus. This has broadened my exposure to both public and private health care challenges and issues. With both formal training and job experience, I have been goal oriented toward a leadership position in health care. In my past experience, I have shown initiative in developing new ideas, strong organizational skills, and quick understanding of new legislation, guidelines and implementation timeframes.
