About Jad Bazih

I am an Assistant Professor of Finance and Program Director for the MS in Responsible Financial Strategies and Investments (SFIR) and the MSc in Corporate Finance & Investment Banking (CFIB). In this role, I combine academic expertise with program leadership, overseeing curriculum design, teaching quality, and student development to ensure strong professional and academic outcomes. My teaching focuses on corporate finance, valuation, financial management, risk analysis, and portfolio management, with a strong emphasis on connecting theory to real-world financial decision-making. As a researcher, my work explores bank risk in emerging markets, the influence of formal and informal institutions, and the role of financial innovation in SME financing—topics at the core of building sustainable and resilient financial systems. I am passionate about developing the next generation of finance professionals and driving forward research that links financial practice with responsible and innovative solutions.
