About Jada May

I've always been inspired by various types of media growing up. Imagination is my tool, and I pour my heart into projects like each one was a piece of art. I started using Photoshop when I was 11 years old. At 13, I dabbled in modelling and animation using 3DsMax and learned video editing with Sony Vegas. At 15, I delved into creative writing and character design. From this, Cosplay was both an opportunity to learn costume design and acting. In high school, I took every course and class to cultivate and hone my artistic endeavour. I worked at my parent's family business for 8 years. I gained professional experience in a high-class service and dining, with up to 200 guests on the busiest nights of the year. I took pride in being attentive and meticulous as there was no room for mistakes. I also supervised and trained other team members on all aspects of dining service, including maintaining friendly and efficient customer service. In August 2022, I started a full-time position under Hilltops Council, NSW, at a Visitors Information Centre. It allowed me to quickly learn new skills such as using WordPress, Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) and Meta Business Suite. My creative streak was utilised for Hilltops Region's social media pages to promote tourism and events. A newfound appreciation for the small things in life fuelled my storytelling skills which is much desired under the Visitors Information Centres across Australia. Storytelling is my passion, and I've already received great feedback from my employers and stakeholders. I'm excited for what the future may bring!
