About Jada Wright-Greene
Jada Wright-Greene is a self-proclaimed Black museum activist, writer, independent museum professional, and public historian. She has researched museums, historic homes & sites and has done extensive research on the Malcolm X Homesite in Lansing, Michigan. During her research, she had the pleasure of collecting the oral history of Yvonne Little, sister of Malcolm X. She was the first African American to graduate from the Museum Studies Department at Michigan State University in 2004. Jada has been profiled on The Root.com as one of 8 Hot Causes for Black Philanthropists. She was named one of Michigan's Phenomenal Women by Michigan Women's Forum and has been featured in several blogs, including Speak Art Loud, Black Gives Back, Black Girl Nerds, Black Southern Belle, and Museum 2.0. She became a contributor for Huffington Post in 2017 and has published with the Florida Times Union. Her expertise and experience have afforded her the opportunity to guest lecture at Harvard University Extension School, Howard University, University of North Florida, and Johns Hopkins University. She has traveled throughout the United States, giving lectures and keynote addresses and discussing her work with Black museums, Black Florida history and arts education. Jada has worked in museums, nonprofits, and arts education since 1995. In May of 2021, Jada published her first book with Arcadia Publishing, Florida's Historic African American Homes, the first book of its kind that focuses on the historic homes of Blacks in Florida.
