About Jade Bodley
I started doing research in high school where I was able to publish two DNA sequences in the NCBI. In January 2020 I also went on a molecular biology and genetics internship in Oaxaca Mexico. During this internship I worked in several labs and a hospital blood bank. I learned how to take blood, blood pressure, do blood type testing, use and analyze CBC results and much more. A lot of these skills I use now at my current position as a hematology lab tech. At the lab I received blood as well as COVID-19 specimens. I do all types of testing including blood chemistry, lipid levels, sedimentation rates, CBC, A1C, COVID-19 tests (antigen, antibody, and PCR), pregnancy, and sexually transmitted infections.
