About Jade Carr

Currently a senior High School teacher dedicated to promoting Aboriginal education through curriculum, pedagogy and supporting Indigenous students and all students to be successful and reach their potential at school. I currently coordinate and teach the Stage 6 Aboriginal Studies curriculum with high levels of success over the last 9 HSC years since its inception. I am passionate about introducing a respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, histories and cultures in all levels of the school and look forward to continuing this journey with my students and colleagues. I have completed my Masters of Education (Leadership in Aboriginal Education) and utilise my passion and knowledge in this area to promote an understanding of our First Nations people on a daily basis through my work in the classroom and wider school community. I am also a casual academic at the University of Sydney where I teach in the same Masters degree and share my passion and expertise to aspiring leaders.
