I began my career in Facilities Management in February 2020 when I joined Lynch Interact, a company promising to “service the built environment” based in Fonthill. This is the exact place where I discovered I wanted to work on a career in Facilities. We are now operating as Interact Services, apart of Bidvest Noonan, based in Swords. My role in Interact began as a somewhat inexperienced, basic helpdesk operative, progressing onto an enthusiastic facilities coordinator, helping out in any area possible, always eager to learn something new and take on a challenge. I took a liking to this work immediately, between the busy days, never ending phone calls - everyday was different and as a result, my love for this job continued to grow. I strive to be as productive as possible every single day, punctuality & preciseness is key. I am passionate about my work, and a perfectionist to say the least. It is definitely fair to say that I push myself during every working day. With being Helpdesk Manager of a thriving service provider, comes many responsibilities. Not only do I oversee the general workings of our Helpdesk processes, I am heavily involved in Accounts Payable Queries, Mobile Technician Timesheet Processing for Payroll, Systems Administration, Subcontractor Management, Monthly Maintenance Contract Processing and so on. My role covers a huge area of the business, where I continue to build up my experience. My 5 year plan sees me seeking qualification in Facilities Management and developing my management skills further.
