About Jade Eddison

I am a confident and motivated person who has an enthusiastic approach to all areas of my profession. I hold a variety of strengths including the ability to communicate on a diverse range of levels and to empathise and understand situations that may be out the average norm. I pride myself on my positive and vibrant outlook which I hope and intend to reflect on those around me. I consider myself a genuinely trustworthy and reliable friend, family member, colleague and carer with a sincere drive to assist with the progression and development of all young people regardless of their background. I have extensive knowledge and understanding of factors impacting vulnerable children and their families and have supported many children via therapeutic interventions. I have experience completing assessments, formulations and care plans for young people, along with confidence attending multi agency meetings, conferences and reviews. Whilst at Horizon, I completed my L3 diploma and leading full 24 hour shifts with up to 3 young people with complex and challenging needs. I have been responsible for the supervision, support and guidance of unqualified staff that have worked along side me. I have excellent written and communication skills and can confidently write full reports, risk assessments and behaviour plans to an excellent standard. Im used to working under immense amounts of pressure, in a fast paced environment where decision making was the responsibility of myself to safeguard and protect young people in challenging and dangerous situations. I have worked along side various global and national frameworks and have sound knowledge of current legislation including child protection, health and safety, equality and diversity, data protection. I have spent my working life engaging young people who have suffered from neglect and trauma, and have many behavioural and emotional barriers with outside services, education, sports and activities and promote positive relationships with peers and carers. I am due to complete my BSc studying Child & Adolescent Mental Health and Wellbeing in summer 2024, and I’m predicted a first class honours.
