About Jade Hinds

As a child, I was naturally drawn to artistic and creative endeavours, from conducting fake experiments in my room to finger painting on the walls. As I grew older, I honed my creative skills, particularly in painting and sculpting. When it came time to choose a college major, I initially felt unsure. However, after exploring various options, I discovered Humber's Bachelor program in UX design and immediately knew that it was the perfect fit for me. Throughout my years in the program, both online and in-person, I have gained a wealth of knowledge, from mastering design fundamentals to learning how to code and conducting service audits and safari visits. My main interests within the field of UX design currently lie in product design and service design. I derive great satisfaction from the research process and developing solutions that improve business outcomes. As a UX designer, I place a strong emphasis on prioritizing the needs of users. In my current role as a front desk employee, I always strive to ensure that resident's needs are met to the best of my ability. This job also requires me to think on my feet and find creative solutions to problems while maintaining a high level of empathy and understanding. Every day, I strive to improve my skills and deepen my understanding of the field of UX design.
