About Jade Lecker

I am currently on the path to a Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. For nearly two years, I was an intern for Mohawk Industries in Dalton during the week and a husbandry volunteer at Tennessee Aquarium on the weekend while I completed my Associate of Science at Dalton State College. For the summer of 2022, I interned at the Tennessee Aquarium in the herpetology department, where I was able to directly contribute to the conservation of approximately 78 different species of turtles. Herpetology is an interest of mine because it has allowed me to have first-hand experience with a bunch of different animals while also contributing to the conservation of endangered species.During the summer of 2023, I interned with the City of Atlanta and learned the wastewater treatment process and how to test and remain compliant with GA EPD and EPA standards. Currently, I am a sustainability intern at Mohawk Industries, learning new skills and knowledge and meeting many wonderful people!
