About Jade Utech
I am a MAcc student at the University of Iowa. During my time at Iowa, I was the treasurer for Iowa's quiz bowl team, where I helped organize tournaments. In addition, I am a member of Beta Alpha Psi, an accounting honors fraternity that emphasizes academic achievements and community service. I am currently volunteering with VITA, a program that helps underprivileged families file their tax returns. I also participate in the Tippie Honors Society, which is reserved for the top 10% of academic performers at Tippie. Finally, I am a proud TRIO member, which is a program that assists low-income, disabled, or first-generation college students. I am passionate about helping others in adverse situations succeed. As a result, I have taken a special interest in assisting people and companies with their taxes, as I once struggled with doing my own tax return. Therefore, after graduating with my MAcc, I want to work for PwC in their tax department. I plan on completing my CPA exams by June 2024.
