About Jade Wilcox

I am a recent Susquehanna University graduate looking to pursue an MS in Genetic Counseling. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Psychology and a 3.385 GPA. I'm eager to combine my passions for genetics and helping others in the field of genetic counseling. I currently am working at Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Mental Health Technician, where I am responsible for checking vitals, collecting bloodwork, and general care and observation of adolescent patients in the behavioral unit. This position has given me a strong introduction to the healthcare field, and I enjoy being a support system to my patients and the BHU team I work with. I have a background in biology/chemistry lab settings, in counseling young women, and in pet care, including oral and topical medical treatments of small animals. These experiences have strengthened many of my skills, including emotional intelligence, writing detailed reports/essays, written communications, collaborating with others, and interpersonal skills, among others.
