I am a high-energy, multi-talented, Senior DEI Program Manager leveraging 12+ years of experience developing solid, collaborative partnerships with diverse individuals and organizations, bringing perspectives and ideas together to promote solid bonds. I’m adept at spearheading and overseeing complex projects, planning, and launching key DEI initiatives. I take pride in being an out-of-the-box thinker who liaises with community leaders, collegiate administrators, and multi-cultural organizations to spearhead and execute initiatives that address social justice and equality. A few of my career highlights include: •Exemplary academic qualifications, with a Doctor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Michigan State University, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (K-12) from Bethune-Cookman University. •Founded and established a student organization called Color Me Music (CMM), an Alliance for Students of Color and Allies to assist the College of Music/Wharton Performing Arts Center at Michigan State University set meaningful goals to improve equity and inclusion initiatives and achieve a sense of belonging. •Taught a course on social justice at Gonzaga University (GU), which explored the correlation between social justice and music; served as a community activist and DEI administrator at (GU). •Collaborated with organizations like the Inland Northwest Opera-tunities, Unity Multicultural Education Center (UMEC), and the NAACP to cultivate relationships and develop culturally enriching programming/activities essential to GU students and stakeholders. •Implemented critical diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives at Michigan State University in the performing arts arena. •Formulated and introduced strategic initiatives and programs to promote the music of women and minorities as Co-Founder of the Sankofa Recital Series in Atlanta, GA.
