About Jae Nam

I am a passionate and creative designer and artist, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master's degree from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). I also have a Certificate in Collegiate Teaching in Art and Design, which demonstrates my commitment and skills in facilitating learning and fostering academic excellence. Currently, I am working as a Teaching Assistant and Studio Coordinator at Brown University, where I assist students and manage the machine shop for the Department of Visual Arts.In my previous roles, I have gained valuable experience in leading and collaborating with diverse teams of students, faculty, and department members. As a Class Representative at RISD, I was elected by my peers to represent their interests and concerns, and to work with the faculty and the department to improve the curriculum and the learning environment. As a Model Shop Liaison, I was responsible for guiding and supporting student projects, ensuring the safety and maintenance of the shop equipment and area, and organizing workshops and events. I have also developed and applied my skills in industrial design, prototyping, fabrication, and presentation, as well as my knowledge of design principles, theories, and methods. I am eager to join an organization that values innovation, collaboration, and diversity, and that allows me to contribute to meaningful and impactful projects with my industrial design and teaching expertise.
