About Jaeho Pyee

Since joining Dankook University in 1995, I have dedicated my career to educating the next generation of scientists in molecular biology and genetic engineering, with a particular focus on plant metabolic molecular biology. My research has centered on uncovering the key genetic mechanisms controlling the biosynthesis pathways of major secondary metabolites in a variety of plants, including avocados, broccoli, grapes, tomatoes, pine trees, oats, and Aralia elata. This work has led to the development of groundbreaking molecular switch technology, enabling the mass production of functional materials derived from these insights. In 2010, leveraging this foundational technology, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, establishing a company that specializes in discovering natural product materials from diverse plant cell lines and whole plants. Our innovative approach has facilitated the development of a scalable production system for these materials, some of which are now foundational in the creation of functional cosmetics and health supplements. Today, our products are exported to over 10 countries worldwide, marking a significant milestone in the global availability of high-quality, plant-based health and beauty solutions.
