Hello! I’m Jaikar Pothula, a Game Development student at the Academy of Art University specializing in Level Design and Interactive Storytelling. I’m passionate about crafting immersive game worlds where design, pacing, and mechanics seamlessly connect to player experience. What I Do as a Level Designer: Design and prototype engaging levels that balance challenge, pacing, and exploration. Build gameplay systems in Unity and Unreal Engine that bring levels to life. Create player-centered UI/UX to guide and enhance immersion. Integrate 3D environments, props, and interactive elements for cohesive worldbuilding. Playtest, iterate, and refine levels to deliver fun, memorable player experiences. Highlighted Projects Customized Angel (Unity, 2D) – Designed levels and UI/UX flow; scripted timeline mechanics and player interactions; established a consistent visual language and progression pacing. Fury Combat (Unity, 3D) – Created combat arenas and HUD layout that optimized player readability and flow. The Exorcism (Prototype, Horror) – Contributed environmental storytelling and level setup, developing suspense through art direction and interactive props. Semester Game Project (Unreal + ZBrush) – Collaborated on level blockouts, sculpted environments, and iterated mechanics through weekly playtests. My Goal To design levels that blend fun mechanics, strong worldbuilding, and meaningful storytelling — creating worlds players want to explore and remember.
