Jaime Simpson is a qualified counsellor, corporate intercultural trainer, and career consultant currently based in Sydney. Jaime's current focus is counselling domestic violence victim/survivors, trauma and providing training and support to those developing their careers within this industry. Jaime is also a unit coordinator and online learning advisor for the Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Responses at QUT Jaime has 25 years of experience designing and delivering counselling and intercultural career programs for schools, expatriates and multicultural teams throughout the Asia Pacific region. Jaime’s clientele has included schools and their students, interns, middle, senior, and executive management across a range of industries including education, pharmaceuticals, financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, and technology. Some organizations include Cummins, JP Morgan, American Express, Micron, HP, Pfizer, Jaguar Rover, Bayer, Lilly, MARS, GSK, Allergan, General Motors and Abbvie. As an intercultural trainer, Jaime has designed and delivered programs on a variety of issues effecting the career assignment and repatriation of clients moving to Australia, United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Dubai, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Belgium, Japan, Taiwan, China, Korea, Philippines and Indonesia. As a coach, Jaime has worked with executives on work-related issues such as career transitions, work relationships, management challenges and cross-cultural management and communication issues. As a counsellor, Jaime works individually with "trailing" spouses and their children, focusing on transition stress and the life-changing impact than an overseas assignment has on the family unit. Jaime holds a Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence; Masters of Counselling (MOC); Bachelor Degree in Counselling (B.Coun) and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling majoring in child development and parenting. Jaime holds a Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, and is a MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) assessor. Jaime also holds a Diploma in Human Resources and Administration and is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (1 & 2) and level 1 and 2 of Gottman Marriage Therapy. Jaime is also a certified Coach through CoachU University and The Parent as Coach Academy.
