Highlight of experience-Continuously challenged to expand my skills with a “can-do” attitude over the past 10 years, resulting in expertise in running, optimizing, and/or innovating many methods to advance my projects and those of my collaborators-Successful in writing and obtaining grants to fund my research, totaling relationship management skills while managing volunteers, undergraduates, and graduate students, which included initial recruitment, generating project plans, training on processes, and conducting performance assessments-Experience in several forms of science communication, including writing scientific manuscripts, writing summaries of journal articles for the general public, oral or poster presentations at 15 conferences and seminars, and generating blog and social media posts-Organized and led workshops, conferences, and educational sessions within the University of Toronto, The Hospital for Sick Children, and external communities (GlycoNet, ActionCIND, and Gordon Research Conferences).
