About Jake Agarwal

My name is Jake Agarwal. I was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago where I learned the importance of community involvement, meaningful relationships, cultural understanding, and connectivity. Throughout my unique college journey, my experiences have pushed me to become a highly adaptive, process-oriented, and empathetic person. My pursuits of higher education and competitive athletics have allowed me to travel the country, engaging with peers from varying socio-economic, political, and cultural backgrounds, building a rich resume of experiences which deeply enhance my interpersonal skills. Currently pursuing and MBA in Business Administration from Bellarmine University, the opportunity to challenge myself with the academic rigor of an AACSB accredited Business School, coupled with the extreme demands of Division 1 athletics, have allowed me to fine-tune my time-management skills, juggling the demands of two individually time consuming pursuits. The MBA program has allowed me to engage with peers of varying backgrounds, ages, industries, and experience levels, providing an enhanced overall learning experience. The Business Administration focused MBA generalizes my academic pursuits, connecting me to a curriculum in Marketing, Technology, General Management, Global Engagement, Economy, Finance, Investment Banking, Entrepreneurship, and software skills in Microsoft Office and SQL. The most valuable aspect has been the opportunity to engage with peers on team projects. Navigating team-building, leadership responsibilities, communication correspondence, and varying project requirements has been crucial in my development as a student of business. Being a Division 1 Baseball Player provides further opportunity to challenge interpersonal and team-building skills, allowing me to engage with a group through solving tasks and executing workflows in real time to achieve a desired result. This has been invaluable in my growth as a leader, a teammate, a student, and a friend. I’ve learned that above all, empathy and connectivity are key to developing a relational, supportive, and success-driven environment. I also have a fluency in Spanish and experience living overseas in Curitiba, Brazil, which not only allows for broader communication, but adds to a worldly perspective and understanding, fueling my passion for connectivity.
