Background
About Jake Arntson
I believe in building the simplest software possible that my customers will love. Embedded systems, mobile apps, services, websites — I've done it all, and the throughline is always the same: keep it simple, make it matter. But honestly, the best part of this work has never been the software. It's the people. I bring positive energy to every team I'm part of and love growing alongside others by digging into hard problems together. After nine years at Amazon — most recently as a Principal Software Engineer — I co-founded Coniferous in early 2026 to get back to what I love most: building new things from scratch, with great people, on problems worth solving. Outside of work you'll find me helping organize year-round outdoor ultimate frisbee pick-up groups around Minneapolis. Always looking for more players — message me!
