About Jake Avery

After working for years in customer service as a salesman, I started my own asset management company buying and selling scientific instruments, medical devices, industrial equipment, etc. Shortly after graduation I had the opportunity to join Tampa Bay Trane as a New Systems Sales Engineer where I began utilizing my experience in sales, my mechanical engineering degree, and my knack for economic design to sell HVAC equipment and controls. Over time, I became especially knowledgeable and proficient at designing control systems, which led to my transition to New System Sales Controls Systems Specialist for the entire West Florida Territory. Later, I attained my role as Controls Sales Engineer to expand market share for the Southwest Territory, working with all internal departments and external customers to provide quality building automation solutions. More recently, I have joined Koja as Sales Director of US marine division where my experience with energy management and green project development is applied on US cruise lines. I love solving problems, from helping a customer discover a unique product, to creating a new system design, or just making a motor crank, I truly enjoy my work. I am always looking for the next obstacle to overcome- where my skills as a salesman, problem solver, and realistic designer can be put to use.
