About Jake Blythe

I am the Process Automation Specialist at Pernod Ricard’s Hiram Walker & Sons Ltd, a leading Canadian distillery and manufacturer of premium spirits. I graduated with distinction from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering. My core competencies include electrical, mechanical, and software design for bottling, packaging, and conveying systems, as well as project management and engineering standards/ specifications development. In my current role, I work with a cross-functional team of engineers, operators, and maintenance technicians to support daily production and continuous improvement efforts. I use my skills in PLC programming and automation system design to implement and troubleshoot solutions for various equipment and process challenges. I also prepare concise process documentation, develop bottling automation CAPEX plans, and lead the change management of new packages and equipment. I am passionate about applying my engineering knowledge and creativity to enhance the efficiency, quality, and safety of the production process. I value collaboration, innovation, and learning, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
