About Jake Carrier

I am a dedicated, eager, and astute journalist with five years of college-based and regional experience under my belt. I began my interest in journalism originally in writing, learning digital publishing and working as a broadcast news writer for Emerson. By 2020, I branched out into radio broadcasting, doing on-air packages and online publishing for local radio. I additionally worked on a few beat reporting projects within Boston before finding my true passion in TV broadcasting in the last two years of college. There, I worked in everything from on-air anchoring, news writing, graphics, weather, broadcast production, and TV reporting. This experience allowed me to share stories both urgent and yet emotionally resonant, news about Boston, FOR Boston. Other skillsets I sharpened or adopted in broadcasting includes videography, video editing, Adobe Photoshop, audio engineering, and live shot reporting. And now, after freshly graduating, I am committed to utilizing all of these skills and past experiences for the next big step in my journalism career.
