About Jake Deane

I’m a founder, operator, and investor in youth sports who has spent nearly two decades building organizations that help athletes grow—on and off the field.I’m the Co-Founder of The True Sports Group, a national youth sports platform built from the ground up. Over 18+ years, I helped scale the business across multiple states, supporting more than athletes in earning opportunities to compete at the college level. In 2025, we completed a platform investment with a leading private equity firm, while I retained a meaningful ownership stake and continue to serve at the board level. My passion sits at the intersection of building durable businesses and developing young people. I believe youth sports should be run with professional standards—strong leadership, accountability, and a relentless focus on athlete experience and long-term outcomes.Today, I’m focused on:• Strategic growth and M&A • Board leadership and governance• Advising founders and operators scaling multi-location platforms• Helping athletes and families navigate the path to college athleticsFormer 8 year professional lacrosse player, Division 1 All American & lifelong builder.
